The Collins Center for the Arts in Orono will host the Wabanaki Winter Market Saturday, Dec. 9 from 9am-3pm to showcase Wabanaki artists and Indigenous-made gifts for the holiday season. Renowned weavers and other artisans will feature skillful craftsmanship that’s been handed down through generations at the event.
“You can be an ally for tribal sovereignty by supporting Indigenous businesses and artisans this holiday season. Put Indigenous-made goods on your own wish list and give your loved ones gifts that reflect the rich Wabanaki culture and heritage,” said Maulian Bryant, Penobscot Nation Ambassador and President of the Wabanaki Alliance Board.
