Wabanaki Policy Youth Initiative

The Wabanaki Policy Youth Initiative is a group of Wabanaki and non-Wabanaki youth (ages 14-25) who are passionate about engaging with policy and advocacy, specifically around tribal-state relations. Youth involved participate in shared learning experiences around policy with a focus on Wabanaki studies and sovereignty. They learn the ins and outs of becoming an advocate in the state legislature and how to share those skills with other youth in their communities and beyond.
